Days after his tour kickoff, Morgan Wallen was charged with felony charges after his early morning arrest. The “Wasted On You” performer was booked after appearing in a Nashville bar.
In a rare interview with Billboard, Wallen opened up about his relationship with alcohol after he was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct in May 2020 after a disruption at Kid Rock’s Nashville bar. “That used to be my warmup — to get half lit: ‘I’m going out there, and we’re going to go have fun.’ Now, that is not the way I approach it,” he told the music publication.

Why would I ever do that?’ And now I’m almost scared to wonder what it’d be like if I was drunk.” As far as drinking off tour, “I’m still figuring out my personal life,” he says. “I probably always will be.”
